Introduction:

  1. Recruitment is a process of finding and hiring the best-qualified candidate (from within or outside of an organization) for a job opening, in a timely and cost effective manner. The recruitment process includes analyzing the requirements of a job, attracting employees to that job, screening and selecting applicants, hiring, and integrating the new employee to the company.
  2. The selection process refers to the steps involved in choosing people who have the right qualifications to fill a current or future job opening. Employee selection can range from a very simple process to a very complicated process depending on the company and the position. Certain employment laws such as anti-discrimination laws must be obeyed during employee selection.
