HCPS announces summer tour to build relationships with school communities

HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) -While schools are out this summer, Henrico County Public Schools will not stop creating connections and delivering fun outside of school walls and into the community.

The HCPS Division of Family and Community Engagement is hosting a 2024 Summer Tour, which will bring community-building festivities to various locations across Henrico County.

The goal is to offer opportunities to build relationships with your school community before the 2024-25 school year begins in August.

There will be plenty of games for guests of all ages, and HCPS staff will be on-site to join in the fun and provide resources that can help families engage with their school communities and prepare their students for success in the new year.

This includes music, lawn games, free books, STEM activities and giveaways, all while connecting families to helpful resources throughout HCPS. Attendance and resources at the Summer Tour are free.
